So tomorrow, Queen Elizabeth II becomes the longest reigning British monarch. That is an impressive milestone.
I’m reminded of the time I saw her, almost face to face. I was standing in the crowd as she drove by, passing within five or ten yards. This was near Ann’s home in Canada. She didn’t stop to chat, she probably had an appointment to get to. That’s probably a key to her long and successful reign — setting priorities and keeping to them.

The questions float on, drifting spiders under their flying strands of web, as the storm clouds draw closer.
